AWS DevOps Engineer

Location: McLean, VA

Develop and maintain infrastructure using Ansible, Kubernetes and Docker to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

Implement and manage DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes.

Design and deploy microservices architecture to enhance scalability and performance.

Lead all aspects of the configuration and management of Tomcat and WebLogic servers to ensure optimal performance.

Apply Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) to automate workflows.

Manage AWS DevOps services to ensure secure and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure solutions with application development.

Monitor and fix infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and performance.

Provide technical guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Ensure compliance with security policies and standard methodologies to protect company data and assets.

Document infrastructure configurations and procedures to maintain a knowledge base for the team.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve infrastructure solutions.

Contribute to the company's purpose by ensuring reliable and efficient infrastructure that supports business operations and growth.

• Possess strong experience with Ansible Kubernetes and Docker for infrastructure management.
• Have expertise in DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Show skill in designing and deploying microservices architecture.
• Show experience in configuring and managing Tomcat and WebLogic servers.
• Be skilled in using Jenkins for CI/CD automation.
• Have hands-on experience with AWS DevOps services for cloud infrastructure management.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to fix and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multi-functional teams.
• Committed to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Maintain a proactive approach to ensuring compliance with security policies and standard methodologies.
• Detail-oriented in documenting infrastructure configurations and procedures.
• Show a strong commitment to contributing to the company's growth and success through reliable infrastructure solutions.

Good to have AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Docker Certified Associate.

The annual salary for this position is between $49,001 - $107,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
