Job Description

The Sales Manager Vehicle Systems is responsible for generating sales of vehicle suppression systems and providing system design, hazard analysis, technical support and training. The position develops long term partnerships with the vehicle systems distribution channel including product end users, manufacturers (OEMs), OEM dealers, fleet managers, key accounts and VS distributors. In addition, the Sales Manager VS will focus on working with internal teams to develop new products and processes to create efficiencies to support the growth of the business. The position is outside sales with domestic and international travel required and is based out of the candidate's home office in the contiguous United States.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct Amerex product sales and marketing presentations and training programs as required for Amerex distribution, product end users, OEMs, and Key accounts.
  • Provide sales, marketing materials and technical support to the distribution channel.
  • Perform on site hazard analysis on vehicle system applications to develop system designs and BOM's to create sales proposals.
  • Work with the distribution channel to perform field training on installations, service, troubleshooting in a variety of extreme weather conditions both inside and outside.
  • Work with the marketing department to develop marketing collaterals.
  • Understand and interpret customer requests and requirements.
  • Submit all administrative reports and communications in a complete and timely manner including CRM updates, sales plans, quarterly objectives, expense reports, and monthly report information.
  • Grow the business by building new and expanding existing relationships with customers.
  • Maintain an active role in representing Amerex Corporation at trade shows and industry organizations such as NAFED and NFPA.
Qualifications
  • Technology proficient in Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, CRM, web, and social media.
  • Possess strong written, verbal communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Initiative-taking, customer-focused.
  • Strong work ethic, hands-on.
  • Team player, collaborator.
  • Effective process manager, follows through on assignments.
  • Business travel including international trips up to 75%.
  • Responsibilities require occasional participation in company, customer, and trade events during evenings or weekends.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience installing and servicing vehicle fire suppression systems or as an off road vehicle mechanic.
  • 4-year college degree or Ten years or more experience selling products into the heavy-duty mobile equipment industry will be considered
  • Proven background in distributor sales for fire suppression and/or the heavy-duty mobile equipment industry preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle electrical systems a plus
  • Valid passport
