Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

• Lead the design and development of highly scalable, secure, and maintainable mobile applications using React, Ionic, and Node.js.
• Architect complex systems and workflows to support evolving business needs and ensure long-term sustainability.
• Provide management, technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
• Drive infrastructure as code (IaC) adoption and cloud resource management using AWS and Terraform.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, leading practices, and design patterns to ensure maintainability and reliability of the codebase.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define technical requirements, align business objectives, and deliver high-impact solutions.
• Optimize application performance through continuous monitoring, profiling, and tuning of web and mobile applications.
• Lead troubleshooting and debugging efforts, resolving complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Participate in and drive Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Champion DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth deployment and continuous integration workflows.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential benefits for the organization.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Principal or Senior Full Stack Mobile Developer with expertise in React, Ionic, Node.js, and AWS.
• Extensive experience with architecting and building large-scale mobile and web applications.
• Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring development teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor engineering teams.
• Proficiency in cloud-based architecture.
• Experience with containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Familiarity with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Strong background in security best practices for cloud-based applications. Prior experience with performance monitoring tools like DataDog.
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in software engineering practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience in a management role within software engineering, typically 4+ years.
• 7+ years of professional experience in full stack development.
• 3+ years in a lead or principal engineering role, providing architectural guidance and technical leadership.
