As a Channel & Category Manager at Ferrero, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products are effectively distributed, placed, and promotedacross various sales channels. You'll be responsible for driving the performance optimization of product categories and sales channels, working to maximize profitability and growth. This position demands a solid understanding of data analysis, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Your strategies and actions will directly contribute to Ferrero's overall success, ensuring that category and channel objectives align with the company's broader business goals.

Your Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing the category strategy by managing everything from portfolio innovation to range reviews. You will closely collaborate with internal teams, including business development, marketing, sales, and supply chain, to align channel strategies with Ferrero's overarching business goals. You'll actively monitor and analyze category performance within specific channels, identifying key opportunities to optimize sales, profitability, and market share.

A key aspect of your role will be leading the 3P strategy (Portfolio, Placement, Promotion) for Ferrero's categories, ensuring that products are placed effectively, promoted strategically, and are a perfect fit for the target audience. Additionally, you'll build strong and lasting relationships with customers, fostering long-term collaboration and ensuring all commercial deadlines are met. You'll support the Sales Team with solid data-backed argumentation to secure 3win agreements (win for Ferrero, win for customers, win for consumers) and play an integral part in client meetings, presenting the category and channel strategy as the subject matter expert.

You will also take charge of leading category development projects at specific customer accounts, overseeing the creation of shelf planograms, checkout planograms, and guidelines for secondary placements to boost visibility and sales.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll be at the forefront of the category development process, from strategy creation and execution to managing customer relationships and ensuring effective in-store placements. With a data-driven approach, you'll constantly analyse the performance of product categories, spotting areas for improvement and proposing strategies to optimize sales and profitability. You will engage directly with clients and internal teams, ensuring the successful execution of the 3P strategy and the delivery of category growth projects. Your role will involve preparation and management of in-store planograms, ensuring that product placements are optimized to maximize visibility and sales. You'll collaboratewith cross-functional teams, lead important category projects, and participate in key client meetings to drive Ferrero's success in the market.

Your Skill Set:

To succeed in this role, you will need at least5 years of experience in Sales, Trade Marketing, or Category Management, ideally in an FMCG environment. You must possess a strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, particularly in channel management. You should be highly analytical, with exceptional presentation skills to effectively communicate complex data and insights to both internal teams and customers. An in-depth understanding of retail data management tools like Nielsen and GFKis crucial for tracking performance and making informed decisions.

Additionally, you will need to have excellent negotiation skills to support and execute 3win agreements with channel partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Spaceman is essential, along with fluency in English (both written and spoken). A results-driven mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions will also be important in this dynamic role.
