Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN The Cybersecurity Engineer will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system and verify cybersecurity policies and procedures are being properly implemented and executed. The candidate will support the Digital Enterprise branch in the creation and implementation of new data platforms.

Job Duties:

    As Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) direct and oversee day-to-day information system security operations including hardware and software implementations.
  • Assist the Digital Enterprise team in the creation for Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
  • Capture and refine information security requirements and effectively integrate them into information systems through architecting, design and configuration management.
  • Employ best practices for implementing security requirements.
  • Ensure patch management and flaw remediation are carried out on systems in accordance with System Security Plan (SSP)
  • Support Information System Security Officers (ISSO).
  • Oversee continuous monitoring activities to include auditing in accordance with the SSP.
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand and gather system artifacts for security compliance verification.
  • Maintain working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards and operational security measures.
  • Implement Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to monitor and validate system security.
  • Document the results of Assessment and Authorization activities and prepare and submit System Security Plans and the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) with 8 - 10 yrs. of experience, or a Master's Degree with 6 - 8 yrs. of experience.
  • Have and maintain a DoD 8570 IAM Level 3 certification (CISSP, CISM, CISSO, GCIA, GCSA, GCIH, GSLC, GICSP, FITSP-M).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) or Information System Security Officer experience.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Software development experience
  • Currently working supporting SAP customers.
  • Prior experience in roles such as System or Network Administrator.
  • Knowledge of industry standard Information Assurance tools such as ACAS, NESSUS, SCAP, CornerBowl, SPLUNK.
  • RedHat Linux and OpenShift experience
  • Top Secret or Secret Clearance
