Position Description:

The Fire Alarm Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fire alarm service business including troubleshooting, repairs, system alterations and small to medium size projects.


Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate quotes for fire alarm service repairs and system alterations.
  • Manage the execution of fire alarm service projects, ensuring they are completed within estimates and according to specifications.
  • Coordinate the pulling of permits with the fire marshal office.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, communicate project progress, and address any concerns.
  • Conduct thorough site walkthroughs to assess project requirements and scope.
  • Perform material take-offs and determine the materials needed for fire alarm repairs and alterations.
  • Order necessary materials for project completion.
  • Identify change orders and ensuring effective resolution.
  • Price, track and manage change orders.
  • Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
  • Collections of outstanding invoices or pay applications.
  • Maintain as-builts as work is completed when required.
  • Document project issues/conditions.
  • Plan and execute project completion and punch lists.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize organize and accomplish your work.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
  • Ensure projects are successfully completed within estimate and meet specified requirements.

Education & Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience
  • Associates Degree with 8+ years of experience.
  • Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience in fire alarm systems, service repairs, and system alterations.
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee projects from initiation to completion.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to determine materials needed for projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing projects within estimates and specifications.
  • This position has been identified as requiring an additional client background check.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage project timelines effectively.
  • Previous experience in a managerial position in the field of fire alarm services is beneficial.
  • Required Certifications

Posses or successfully obtain NICET I and NICET II Fire Alarm Certification
