Who we are looking for:

The Center for Cancer Care Impact (CCCI) is looking for a highly motivated intern to support ongoing initiatives. The intern will have opportunity to leverage their expertise and lived experience to develop solutions that will be integrated into the larger portfolio of the Center's care access, research access and workforce support strategies, in furtherance of ASCO's mission. and beyond.

Internship activities include:

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures for the Center's work - for example, budgeting, committee support, and member/patient-facing work.

  • Help craft relevant communications.

  • Research and report findings on an identified topic(s) to help inform the work of committees managed by CCCI.

  • Analyze data and create ad-hoc reports.

  • Regularly dedicate time each week to scan for emerging trends.

Required qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate BA/BS degree program, or graduate program, or recently graduated from a 4-year degree program. Candidates must be at least a junior or entering their junior year of college at the start of the internship.

  • A passion for impacting cancer care quality.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work along lines of difference.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and with expressed value for collaboration, and flexibility to adapt to changing needs.

  • Solid organizational and time management skills.

  • Data analytics skills.

  • Excellent research skills, with ability to synthesize diverse inputs and information and produce reports and/or presentations on findings.

  • Critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (365 preferred).

  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.

  • Willingness to enhance skills.

Duration:10weeksduring thesummer - June 9, 2025, to August 15, 2025. This internship is37.5hours per week.

Compensation:Thissummerinternship position is paid at a rate of $20/hour for actual hours worked. Additionally, ASCO will provide parking or a metro subsidy.

Location:This internship is based in Alexandria, VA and will require working onsite the majority of the time with some offsite work flexibility. Candidates should reside in the D.C. metro area or be able to relocate at their own expense. If you are not able to work at ASCO Headquarters, please do not apply.
