Munich Re America Services (MRAS), a Munich Re company, is seeking an intern to join our HSB Engineering Data IT Products team. At MRAS and HSB IT, you will learn what it is like to pursue a career at one of the world's largest reinsurance companies.

The HSB Engineering IT Products team is charged with supporting and developing applications that enable our engineering work force be effective and productive in the field. We work in partnership with functional areas across HSB to deliver on engineering capabilities that are customer focused, grounded in research, support departmental and HSB architectural road-maps and drive to measurable strategic business outcomes.

As a valued intern within our Engineering IT Products team, you will gain understanding and experience of our engineering applications, technology platforms and processes that support HSB's mission and strategic objectives. You will focus onsupporting the Engineering future state architecture analysis and focusing on data analysis and flow through the architecture to validate the future Engineering application roadmap through the following responsibilities:

• Analyze processes to identify data flows and dependencies

• Document processes in a knowledge base using process modeling tools

• Develop / Modify digital dashboards to present / highlight key process metrics

• Participate with team to provide support for digital enhancements through research and application development

• Perform analytical discovery to determine feasibility of product concepts

• Create and update user stories in the backlog to meet business expectations
• Follow-up on user stories for appropriate approvals

• Ability to multi-task and balance priorities

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

• Highly organized with attention to detail

• Excited, motivated and passionate

• Familiar with Agile methodologies

• Familiar with web development tools, SQL, .Net, Java, Javascript is a plus.

• Familiarity with Python a major plus.

• Within commuting distance of Hartford, CT

• Completed sophomore year or higher
