St. Paul Academy and Summit School is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Boys' Golf Coach. About St. Paul Academy and Summit School: St. Paul Academy and Summit School: St. Paul Academy and Summit School (SPA) is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college preparatory day school serving more than 920 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Our two campuses are located approximately a mile apart in St. Paul, Minnesota, serving Grades K-5 on our Goodrich Campus and Grades 6-12 on our Randolph Campus. SPA believes Athletics contributes to the overall educational experience of our students, where lessons learned in sport are as valuable as those learned in the classroom. The Athletics program at SPA is one of the most successful in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). SPA is ranked in the top 20 of all MSHSL schools in the number state for championships won. Our student athletes have been recognized as some of the top athletes in the state, region and country. The women's soccer team has been in the state tournament each of the last three years and won the state championship in 2023. Additionally, a number of former and current team members plan to play at the college level in the future. This coach will work closely with the Varsity Head Coach to develop and nurture our student-athletes in a positive educational based athletic philosophy. Season runs from March 2025 - June 2025. Candidates will be required to demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication skills, teach and develop essential golf skills, display positive game conduct and develop players' ability to work together as a team, while also progressing individually. Additionally, they should support the mission of SPA and be able to contribute to the life of the School outside of the classroom. Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Create a positive environment that promotes good sportsmanship. 2. Conduct well-organized and structured practices 3. Provide effective supervision and evaluation of all players 4. Create a rapport with the greater SPA community 5. Recognize contributions of all; impress upon the athletes and parents that their efforts are valued 6. Participate as a positive team member in the development and support of excellence within the Athletic Department. Qualified applicants must include a list of references.
