Overview

The Strategic Initiatives Team is a global, cross-divisional function within Origination and Advisory (O&A) tasked with shaping, managing, and delivering an interconnected portfolio of regulatory and strategic programs that are meant to ensure compliance with regulations and divisional execution plans. This may include policy and procedure drafting, technology design and development, and program management.

The Analyst/Associate will report to the Americas O&A Program Director (with matrix to EMEA O&A Program Director) and have responsibility for providing leadership on several programs. The role will work closely with global peers and within global programs in designing and implementing strategic solutions within an agreed timeline. We are looking for innovative problem-solvers who can employ technology and data science to solve complex business problems in an accurate, scalable, and robust manner.

What You'll Do

  • Represent O&A on various program working groups within the Bank. This will also include working with Program leads to identify issues and suggest corrections

  • Maintain and, where possible, enhance reporting in Tableau or other data discovery/analytics tools

  • Delivery of management information reporting and key metric reviews to provide performance transparency and identify and resolve potential roadblocks efficiently

  • Actively participate in initiatives to develop and enhance controls and efficiency (i.e., process/workflow improvement and technology solutions)

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Team Leaders, Lines of Business, Operations, Audit, Compliance, and Technology to ensure consistent quality delivery

Skills You'll Need

  • Proven investment banking/financial services experience; familiarity with loans loan mechanics, and ability to read a credit agreement a must

  • Knowledge of Know Your Client/Anti-Financial Crime requirements/banking principles, ideally in a similar role with experience in a corporate finance environment

  • Strong skills in spreadsheet and data analytics and data presentation software (e.g. Tableau, Structured Query Language)

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft office suite

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Degree in business, economics, or STEM

  • Numerate and analytical with a high attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and risk management skills

  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to effectively articulate complex concepts to stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and to build strong relationships and collaborate in a team-oriented environment

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $65K to $130K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
