This position is located in Culpeper, Virginia in the Preservation Services Section, National Audio-Visual Conservation Center, Researcher and Collections Services. The Video Preservation Specialist reports to the Recording Laboratory Supervisor in the AV Preservation Services Section. This position is key to preservation reformatting of the Library's expansive video collections and requires a knowledge of the history of video preservation and a thorough understanding of video preservation formats and equipment. The incumbent repairs and restores legacy materials and converts them into modern, state-of-the-art digital copies.
