Job Summary	Job Summary Applies extensive knowledge of principles, theories, concepts and industry practices and standards in procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies for aerospace manufacturing operations. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems requiring independent judgment and ingenuity to modify procedures and approaches in the material and purchasing discipline. Performs work under general management direction. Defines systems specifications, develops and installs major portions of complete procurement systems to improve cost control of purchased items. Acts as project leader, when assigned, and provides technical leadership to others as required. Plans studies and collects data to determine costs of parts and material such as aluminum, steel, composite and other raw material and purchases and parts, equipment and supplies. Analyzes data obtained, records results and reports to management. Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs. Makes estimates of new and proposed product or service costs. Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures. Purchases parts and material of medium to high value requiring a high level of technical knowledge of the aircraft system or subsystems for which it will be used. Reviews requisitions and confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Estimates values according to knowledge of market price and determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid. Prepares purchase orders or bid requests. Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. Expedites delivery of goods to users. Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. Approves invoices for payment. Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.
Minimum Qualifications	Education Requirements Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree. Business or a related discipline. If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement. Experience Requirements 5 year(s) Related experience and/or training. Skills and Competencies Communicates effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms. Makes telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and makes formal presentations to small or large groups. Operates standard office equipment and demonstrates competence in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Skills and Work Requirements
Physical Requirements	Physical Requirements Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs. Work Environment	Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Supervision	Supervision Works under general direction. Guidance as to results expected and complex problems. Exercises latitude in determining activities and approaches within moderate to wide parameters.
