Molecular Testing Account Executive - Charlotte (NC, SC)

At Personalis, we are transforming the active management of cancer through breakthrough personalized testing. We aim to drive a new paradigm for cancer management, guiding care from biopsy through the life of the patient. Our highly sensitive assays combine tumor-and-normal profiling with proprietary algorithms to deliver advanced insights even as cancer evolves over time. Our products are designed to detect minimal residual disease (MRD) and recurrence at the earliest timepoints, enable selection of targeted therapies based on ultra-comprehensive genomic profiling, and enhance biomarker strategy for drug development. Personalis is based in Fremont, California.

The Molecular Testing Account Executive will be responsible for territory development by promoting Personalis' novel suite of molecular testing into surgery and oncology clinics. We are seeking passionate sales professionals with a track record of launching products and creating deep client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Drive strategic business expansion/collaboration opportunities via:




• Community and academic Breast, Thoracic, and Colorectal Surgeons
• Major U.S. cancer centers and clinics / Top 20 largest oncology practices in the territory
• Collaboration with commercial alliance partners




• Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the territory that will be inclusive of priorities, territory management, goal setting, etc.
• Continually analyze competitive landscape and environment within assigned accounts to determine trends and provide customer feedback to Personalis leadership
• Monitor performance of sales to ensure objectives are met
• Work effectively with individuals across multiple departments throughout Personalis
• Embrace, embody and represent the Personalis company culture at all times to external and internal constituents

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic setting with a history of proven past performance that has met and exceeded expectations.
• 3-5 years of experience working with major cancer centers and clinics, oncology GPO's, large health systems, IHDN's, and large oncology practices.
• Demonstrated measurable revenue generation at either a diagnostic or relevant biotechnology company.
• Ability to provide an integrated molecular testing solution using Personalis' whole exome / genome sequencing technology to prospects and customers.
• Ability to engage in a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and indifferences while connecting client needs with GHI capabilities
• Comfortable communicating, presenting, selling at all account levels ( staff, clinician, administrator
• Strong understanding of molecular diagnostics for oncology and the evolving competitive landscape
• Ability to maintain an outstanding level of market, customer, distribution and product knowledge necessary to accomplish sales and marketing objectives
• Effective and regular utilization of Salesforce.com
• Frequent travel ( > 50%) throughout the territory as needed
