Altaflex, a division of OSI Electronics, is seeking an Estimating/Pricing Specialist. Selected individual will be responsible for the successful execution of all inbound quote request/bid proposal work generated by the sales and program management teams. The role will require defining proposal requirements, monitoring and controlling inbound customer quotes through the internal approval process quickly and efficiently. The Estimating/Pricing Specialist will transform inbound inquiries into outbound quotes via order system, coordinate with internal resources/vendors as needed, and finalize the outbound quote for customers via a secure channel to assure compliance with all bid requirements and company business practices. Ideal candidate will be able to multi-task and handle time-sensitive work in a fast-paced work environment and must be proactive and results oriented. Requires "Thinking outside box" skills, with ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes and systems.


Responsibilities

  • Quotes - Interpret, analyze, and estimate sales quotes accurately and timely as well as prepare for management approval. Use internal resources, including tools, processes, and people to ensure effective management of quotes.
  • Creation of quote sheets for customers.
  • Update costings and input variables.
  • Calculate yields and margins.
  • Calculate labor costs & Build material costs.
  • New Parts Creation - Coordinate and initiate process to create new parts numbers.
  • Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct.
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent required. Associate's degree in business or a related field desired.
  • At least one years of practical experience is needed.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Detail oriented problem solver with the ability to multi-task and work independently, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Excellent follow-up and follow-through.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are needed.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in the business language, English.
  • Must be comfortable interfacing with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and team members.
  • Must be able to collaborate and work cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Ability to read drawings strongly desired.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, analytical, and open-minded.
