Jr System Engineer - 1244

Summary

This position will support the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC), primarily in Dahlgren, VA. SCSTC's overall mission is to provide the United States Navy and our allies with highly trained warfighters to maintain, operate, and tactically employ surface combat systems across the spectrum of operations. We are looking to hire System Engineers to support the development and integration of Navy electronic training systems and electronic combat systems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The Jr. System Engineer requires gaining technical understanding of the Aegis baselines, the ability to work closely with the Subject Matter Experts, System Engineers, and the rest of the Dahlgren team to identify and prioritize software development tasks, and the ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications.

Experience Required:

• 3-4 years of US and International Aegis Tactical System experience. This experience should include:
  • Working knowledge of US Navy Aegis Tactical System Software/Hardware across various baselines
  • Working knowledge of Navy Aegis Tactical System Software/Hardware for international customer across various baselines
  • Working knowledge of Aegis Console Operations
  • Understanding of Aegis Tactical System technical documentation

Eligibility Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent U.S. Navy Aegis experience preferred
