Carnegie Mellon University CyLab brings together experts from a variety of disciplines across the university to collaborate on cutting-edge research and educate the next generation of security and privacy professionals. CyLab is seeking a research Associate to join the team! In this role, you will design experiments and research protocols under general supervision. You will also perform complex analysis to report results and such other tasks that are assigned to you.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collects, verifies and manages data.
  • Performs data analysis in order to produce reports.
  • Documents and processes results.
  • Develops quantitative models.
  • Writes and edits recommendations and reports.
  • Maintains administrative records. Tracks and adheres to established budgets.
  • May program software in support of job functions.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • With some supervision, designs experiments and research protocols.
  • Contributes to overall project planning and acts as lead to coordinate portions of a large project or study. Ensures project deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Research Experience: 3-5 years
  • Research Lab Experience: 3-5 years
  • Research Methodology Experience: 3-5 years
  • Data Collection and Analysis Experience: 3-5 years
  • Strong Analytical, oral, written, problem solving and reasoning skills
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
