Job Title: Dispatch Application Trainer

Normally Reports to: Director of Digital Optimization

Job Objective: Lead the development, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of a comprehensive training program for dispatchers and stakeholders, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools to efficiently manage non-fuel deliveries. This role focuses on optimizing the dispatch process and maximizing the effective use of RelaWay dispatch application system to support decision-making. Additionally, this position plays a key role in continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback and recommendations to RelaWay system developers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operations.



  • Lead efforts to roll out RelaWay dispatch application system to locations not currently using RelaWay, both in-person and virtually.
  • Deliver effective training programs for new and existing RelaWay application users by delivering user training sessions using various formats, including in-person, virtual, and self-paced modules.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and develop targeted solutions.
  • Create and maintain training materials, including standard operating procedures, presentations, job aids, and online resources in a centralized repository.
  • Collaborate with business managers, dispatch teams, and system developers to ensure training content aligns with operational needs and performance expectations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback surveys, and performance monitoring.
  • Provide feedback to the development team on RelaWay features and provide suggestions for improvements.
  • Continuously assess training materials and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and system utilization.
  • Lead continuing education training sessions, ensuring the network is aware of ongoing updates and new functionalities.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives related to dispatch operations and training.
  • Provide front-line support for questions regarding the use or application of RelaWay application tools.

  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service
  • Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
  • Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company
  • Work overtime as needed
  • Ability to travel up to 40%, including air travel as required



Knowledge Skills and Abilities:



  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training design and facilitation, or in-depth knowledge of dispatch operations, procedures, and best practices required
  • Preference will be given to internal employees of RelaDyne and its affiliates
  • Experience working with dispatch management software and/or Learning Management Systems (LMS) strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of process design and how systems support decision making. Knowledge of adult learning practices, instructional strategies, and assessment methods
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 technology stack including Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop and implement engaging and effective training programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify training needs and develop solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, being self-motivated and requiring limited supervision, while building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to and learn multiple systems, with a drive to learn new tools and data techniques

  • Role can be remote when not traveling, should live near a major airline hub so travel is efficient
  • If best candidate is in Houston - fine, but not seeking that as the only location

  • Could be internal growth for a good dispatcher, management trainee or warehouse manager
  • Branch location travel will be overnight stays, usually by air travel to train users how to use RelaWay
