Logistics/Purchasing Coordinator

Pay Range: $25-30/hr

The Planning and Shipping supervisor is responsible for preparing shipping documents for outgoing orders and creating purchase orders for raw materials and services, ensuring cost effective services. They are also responsible for verifying and keeping accurate ERP records on incoming items, outgoing shipments and stock supply by performing the following duties.

1. Determines the best method of packing products to ensure adequate product protection.
2. Use available broker's websites to select the best shipping mode and freight carrier to ensure products are delivered to customers with the shortest lead time and the lowest transportation cost.
3. Use ERP system to create labels, ship finished goods and receive raw materials.
4. Create and receive purchase orders in ERP for raw materials and outside process services.
5. Verify products received from suppliers against the packing lists
6. Records products to the appropriate category shelves.
7. Maintain accurate ERP data of shippers, bills of lading and cost (by Sales Orders).
8. Maintain and expedite production floor travelers for job orders.
9. Perform monthly and annual inventory.
10. Work closely with other departments such as sales, accounting, engineering, etc.
11. Performing other manufacturing related duties as assigned.

• Bilingual skills Spanish/English.
• Highly organized person.
• ERP data entry experience & work in progress to schedule the flow of supply to support production
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) applications.
• Prior warehouse shipping, planning and/or distribution experience preferred.

• Highschool
• APICS / ERP certification is a plus.

• NO travel.

• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access

• Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials.
• Clearly and effectively communicate via phone and email shipping related information to customers, vendors, and co-workers, primarily in Spanish.
• Organize and prioritize work orders to meet shipping schedule.
• Work independently with limited supervision and be a self-starter
