Join our team at Terex and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Director of Information Technology to contribute to the Terex Utilities team in Watertown, SD.

As a member of the IT and Utilities leadership teams the director, Information Technology will help drive transformation of IT as an enterprise-enabling function and will lead development and execution of the Utilities IT digital strategy. The director will work with peers to focus roles and responsibilities in IT, create and leverage IT shared services, and manage Utilities and enterprise-wide demands. Further, the director will understand Utilities' objectives and challenges and work with his/her business partners to leverage IT as a strategic asset.

What you'll do

  • Balance Utilities' needs with the advancement of enterprise-wide IT capabilities to simplify the technology landscape.
  • Partner with Utilities' leaders to understand business priorities.
  • Develop transformation roadmap to increase the pace of change and make digital / technology a strategic asset.
  • Lead team to execute transformation roadmap on time and on budget, with flexibility to pivot as business needs / priorities change.
  • Provide pragmatic digital solutions to the business, recognizing that "one size fits all" solutions do not always exist, and balancing the need for customization / innovation with practicalities of business realities.
  • Develop, lead, and retain high-performing team.
  • Instill a culture of accountability and transparency among the IT team.
  • Provide hands-on leadership for day-to-day activities of the Utilities IT organization.
  • Work across business segments and functions with IT counterparts to provide effective and efficient solutions that support the transformation priorities.
  • The above is not all-encompassing, and additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the role's needs.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems.
  • Minimum of 10 years of information technology experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience.
  • Candidates must currently reside near Watertown, SD, or be willing to relocate to the area.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Proven track record of extensive relevant information technology experience
  • Demonstrate highly experienced strong leadership skills.
  • Experience as a IT leader for a global manufacturing company is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplined IT organization and leverage peers' expertise when needed.
  • Significant global ERP experience.
  • IT responsibility across commercial, operational, and financial domains of the business
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in sourcing, manufacturing, and engineering business processes or
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in commercial, financial, and leasing business processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing decision support tools that will allow business leadership to extract key information and facilitate operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Demonstrated track record of creating technology solutions to solve business problems across multiple divisions and regions within a single company.
  • Experience providing technology solutions that improve the customer interface.
  • Ability to understand, evaluate and prioritize across 3 dimensions: business partner demands, advancement of IT capabilities and enterprise transformation.
  • Project portfolio management and execution.

The salary range for this position starts at $150,000 annual salary. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and/or long-term incentive.
