Job Description:

As an engineering intern, you will collaborate closely with our Project and Controls engineers on a diverse range of tasks. You'll be involved in the ideation, design, development, and implementation of innovative equipment to enhance the operations at the Jubilant HollisterStier facility. This hands-on experience will allow you to contribute to meaningful projects and gain valuable insights into the engineering processes that drive our success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform mechanical engineering duties (CAD Layout, Light Fabrication and Assembly, testing and production support) as assigned
  2. Assist in component fabrication and testing
  3. Work with Engineering team to support any design activities
  4. Handle part design independently to completion
  5. Work with Tooling vendors to complete Design For Manufacturing
  6. Write test protocols and perform the testing protocols as required
  7. Responsible to run analytical tools based on requirement
  8. Work productively both individually or as part of a team
  9. Other duties as required and assigned

Applicants should be/possess:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering) from an accredited institution with 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Minimum completion of sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
  • Required: Resume, Letter of Recommendation from a professor in the engineering department where the student is enrolled.
  • Recommended: Cover Letter
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Available for a 12 week internship between May and September of 2025. We are unable to accommodate internships outside of this time frame.
  • This Internship is in person (Spokane) Therefore, candidates must relocate to team location in Spokane, Washington.

Experienced Required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes required
  • Strong attention to detail/data gathering skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Hands-on problem solving
  • Creation of technical documentation
  • Data analysis
  • Proficient with hand tools
  • Typing and computer skills
  • Interpret a variety of instructions
  • Conduct technical presentations/demonstrations as necessary

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • Strong understanding of core STEM fundamentals including physics, thermodynamics, and/or programming
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
  • Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus
  • AutoCAD, Solidworks, Microsoft suite

The hourly U.S. pay range for this position is: $23.78 - $25.75
