About the team

Our Public Sector team creates value for citizens and agencies of every size - Defense, Non-Defense, and this includes both domestic and international public stakeholders. Governments in the US and UK seek out new opportunities to secure networks, protect citizen payment/identify data, and deliver cost-effective solutions to their public constituents. What you'll own

In a Public Sector Sales Executive role, you will work as a member of a niche public sector sales team to find new federal, state, and local government entity opportunities for continued company growth. This will include providing thought leadership, creativity, and creating sustainable stakeholder rapport with public procurement and program officials. You will create capture strategies to implement/enhance industry-leading payment solutions to prospective clients, which could include all types of public sector clients at all levels of government. This captive audience may also include other large and small government contractors, trading partners, resellers, and helping to form new alliances in the supply chain.

  • Act as the strategic sales thread and consulting at the contracting officer and program office levels.
  • Leverage BI, market research, public postings, historical award data, and new, self-cultivated leads to create customer growth for the public sector team and your individual opportunity pipeline.
  • Develop and execute data-driven capture strategies that leverage analytics and AI to improve probability of win (Pwin) in federal opportunities.
  • Collaborate with proposal teams, solution architects, and business development professionals to align technical and strategic positioning with customer requirements.
  • Connect with prospects to help improve their experience, cash flow, and bottom line.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, peers, and other functional business units to identify opportunities to improve the sales cycle, business processes, and efficiency of the team.
  • Identify emerging market trends and expansion opportunities for new Prime Contracts.

What you bring

  • At least 5 years of public sector contracting (capture or sales) experience including research, discovering needs, recommending solutions, and solving business problems.
  • Experience in presenting technology solutions to public sector buyers, Payments-as-a-Service (PAYaaS), and/or SaaS is highly preferred.
  • Preferred candidate qualifications include prior work experience in the payment industry, banking services, and/or Shipley Capture Certification credentials.
  • Strong understanding of the federal procurement lifecycle and acquisition trends.
  • Experience using AI tools and data platforms to drive strategic business development and competitive analysis.
  • Experience with GWACs, MATOCs, SATOCs, and other government contracting programs including the SBA 8(a) Program, Mentor/Protege Program, Joint Ventures, and GSA-MAS full lifecycle management (pre-proposal to close-out) administration experience.
  • Advanced skills in Salesforce, SAM.gov, FPDS.gov, Federal and state market intelligence platforms (like GovWin), and state/local procurement databases.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority capture efforts while incorporating innovative approaches to problem-solving.
