Summary

We are seeking a Project Engineering Lead to oversee and support our project engineers in the execution of API-620, API-650, and API-653 tank construction and repair projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in tank engineering, project coordination, and problem-solving to ensure project success. The position is based at our Baton Rouge office with occasional travel to job sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical oversight and leadership for API-620, API-650, and API-653 tank projects.
• Support project engineers with design reviews, calculations, and technical guidance.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and scopes of work to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with procurement, estimating, and project management teams to optimize project execution.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) for calculations, project tracking, data analysis, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, client requirements, and company policies.
• Collaborate with field personnel to troubleshoot and resolve engineering challenges.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 10+ years of experience in API-620, API-650, and API-653 tank construction and repair.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of ASME pressure vessels is a plus, but not required.
• LA/TX PE Stamp is a strong plus, but not required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• TWIC card required (can be obtained after hiring).
