We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team designing, building and testing, electro-optic mechanical stabilized system. The Systems Engineer will execute multiple aspects of the systems engineering discipline, to include requirements decomposition into software/hardware functions and system integration and test activities to ensure end to end system requirements closure. The system engineer will interact with the development teams, production teams, program leadership and customer regarding technical considerations and issue closure associated with our programs capabilities. The system engineer will work with other engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, optical, and software with analysis for different electro-optic mechanical stabilized systems. This position is based out of our Healdsburg, CA office and is an exempt, full-time, non-supervisory role.

Experiences and Background We Look For:

• Hands on knowledge for precision assemblies and testing of hardware.
• Develop detailed test plans and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are available.
• Assist in the development of requirements derivation, requirements traceability, systems integration & test, performance verification.
• Conduct system integration testing to ensure compatibility and performance.
• Document findings, generate test reports, and present results to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components into a cohesive system.
• Presenting engineering material in life cycle design reviews.
• Support test events at multiple test event sites.
• Experiences and background we Look For: Degree background Systems. Electrical, Software, Mechanical
• Engineering for electro-optic mechanical stabilized systems.
  1. 0-5 yrs. experience with BS/BA
  2. 0-3 yrs. experience with MS/MA

Nice to have:

• Jama for Requirements and Test Management
• Precision control knowledge
• Ability to write scripts for test automation and data analysis
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools like Agile, Scrum
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, ISO, ASME

The salary range for this role is $89,000 to $110,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.

U.S. citizenship is required to meet position eligibility.
