Printpack, a leading packaging manufacturer, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Wets Inventory Coordinator in the Grand Prairie, Tx Converting plant. This position will be a 1st shift position from 7am-3 pm (Mon - Fri). Key Responsibilities:
Working with multiple vendors and outside parties to order all wet materials required to support GP Converting's production schedule. Overseeing full life cycle of wet materials, including inbound transportation, potential return of empty containers, and the processing, storage, and shipment of hazardous waste. Physical receiving, transporting, and storage of wet materials. Monitoring expiration dates of perishable wet materials and ensuring FIFO inventory practices are followed, including materials potentially stored off-site. Maintaining & continuously improving containerized inventory (iBlend dispenser system). Cataloging all incoming raw materials, including generation of Spec labels and documentation of batch numbers. Physical organization of wets storage including returns from press. Directly overseeing and maintaining safety & environmental stewardship during outdoor bulk solvent deliveries in all seasons and types of weather. Regular cycle counts of wet materials inventory. Monitoring reorder points of stocked inventory. Entering new item wet assignments into Spec iBlend dispenser. Daily verification of print readiness on Status 40 jobs from previous 24 hours. Building new jobs in Measure Color system. Monitoring and maintaining operation of the plant solvent system.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
Internal Candidates: Must be in good standing (No Discipline above Step 1 within 90 days at time of application). Meticulous organization and attention to detail. Accurate generation and processing of paperwork. Cross-functional understanding of printing process. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with direct interaction across departments and with numerous contacts outside of Printpack. Familiarity with PRISM, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Existing experience with Spec iBlend and/or Measure Color is preferred, but not strictly required. Ability to safely and efficiently operate a fork truck.
