Position Summary The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting operations, operations accounting, and FP&A during month-end closing processes, quarterly reporting, and daily system maintenance. This role collaborates closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate operations performance, provide accurate and timely variance analysis, and supports forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will exhibit intellectual curiosity and strong communication skills while collaborating in support of business objectives. Responsibilities Month-end Closing and Reporting
- Review and investigate Material, Labor and Overhead accounts for significant variances.
- Prepare and book monthly journal entries for PPV, Inventory reconciliations, Absorption and other COGS variances.
- Prepare monthly production variance analysis and provide actual versus budget/forecast variance commentary.
- Evaluate and update operations performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and bowler charts.
- Assist Operation Controller with quarterly Flux analysis reports.
Operations Accounting Support
- Work with procurement and operations staff to create new parts.
- Preform standard cost rolls for new or changed parts.
- Ensure cycle counts are complete by operations staff quarterly.
- Creation and maintenance of new work centers.
- Assist in new product quoting process.
- Assist in labor and overhead standard rates.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual required governmental reports and surveys.
- Review and provide feedback and supporting calculations on Capital Asset Requests.
Process Improvements
- Develop SOPs and work instructions for operating accounting functions.
- Support SOX compliance for costing, inventory, part creation, and cycle counting.
- Support operations improvements by partnering on KPI development, ad hoc analysis, and production reporting.
- Monitor, identify and isolate variance drivers, enabling management to take correct actions as needed.
Support Budget and Forecasting process.
- Partner with FP&A team to created departmental budget templates.
- Collaborate with department heads to help manage annual budgets with detail of actual spending results.
- Support FP&A to help ensure that budgets and forecast and coded correctly.
- Assist in quarterly budget and forecast load process to populate results for variance analysis.

Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A, cost accounting or operations accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Spreadsheet server and ERPs (Epicor preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
