Shop Technician I



  • Hourly range $16.19 to $19.00 depending on experience.


Toshiba America Business Solutions, a leader in digital technology, is seeking a Shop Set up Technician located in Orlando, FL. Toshiba is an industry leader in equipment, digital displays, document security, and software solutions that keep businesses running brilliantly and efficiently.

What You'll Do: Provide customer service by preparing office equipment for delivery to customers and maintaining, servicing, and repairing office equipment in-house.

Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for the setup of all equipment requested for demo pool, sold orders, service loaners, and refurbished equipment at an on-site location.
  • Ensure showroom is in working order and machines are maintained in a clean and proper manner; confirm machines have the proper paperwork, accessories, supplies, and updates, review the accuracy of serial numbers and products on order staging paperwork.
  • Troubleshoot failures and repairs for copiers/fax/duplicators equipment; refurbish used equipment, which includes cleaning and repairing.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment to ensure they are in service-ready condition.
  • Assist with warehouse duties- loading and unloading machines from delivery trucks; complete assignments according to priority while executing proper time management.
  • Assist with delivering equipment during high-volume requests.
  • Submit accurate and legible setup call reports. Ensure all demo and sale equipment is set up to Toshiba's standards and meets installation schedules; communicate with Shop Supervisor concerning problems preventing the release of equipment.
  • Complete service training as required by Toshiba Business Solutions and complete basic dealer and manufacturer training on specified systems; attend department meetings as required.
  • Maintain Shop Area in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Responsible for other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Shop Technician or in technical repair and service of copier/office equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. The job involves frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
