Purpose: The Senior FP&A Analyst will support the delivery of world-class business performance management, budgeting, and reporting as well as being a business partner to department managers and Business Unit managers to drive better business results. This is a full-time position based in the Houston, TX office with a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days in the office. Responsibilities: Management Reporting
- Supports budget/quarterly forecast processes, including data collection, upload, data integrity and validation
- Analysis and interpretation of results including Actuals, Forecasts and Budgets along with comparing budget/forecast to actual, KPI's, key business drivers and trends, overheads, business development activities and market conditions
- Monthly Flash reporting, Monthly & Quarterly Business Review reporting
- Monitoring of overhead budget for functional areas including detailed variance analysis and a view on possible risks and opportunities
- Compliance with high quality of presentation, clarification, and accuracy with all information disseminated
- Drives an effective internal control framework to highlight and manage risk by providing an independent assessment of the health of the business
- Ad-hoc business analysis as required
Business Partnership
- Day to day finance business partner to operations and finance function
- Assists FP&A Director to identify and implement key initiatives for the region
- Identifies effective overhead and working capital reporting/analysis to drive productivity
- Able to utilize leading indicators across the region to identify opportunities and/or risks
- Ensures appropriate accountability and performance standards are met and maintain high levels of confidentiality working with sensitive data
Continuous Improvement
- Assists Finance Director with rollout and implementation of consistent and unified reporting across the businesses
- Leverage common system platforms, e.g. Hyperion and Oracle (GBS, EPM)
- Be a custodian of finance systems and data
- Be a Finance super user and be a first point of contact on system related issues
What you will bring Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications:
- Significant financial experience, majority of this being in a role as a Financial Analyst
- Expert technical and analytical accounting skills, specifically in the areas of financial modeling and reporting
- Must have either public practice or publicly traded company experience - both would be preferable
- Expert technical understanding of GAAP; maintains the highest professional ethics and standards
- Communicates and operates effectively between Location, Region and Corporate demonstrating cross organizational collaboration in order to achieve the correct balance between differing reporting requirements
- Works effectively in a global, multi-cultural team in a combination of remote/virtual and office environments
- Experience in the EPC, EPCM, engineering services industries, or similar industry preferred
IT Skills:
- Familiar with ERP and BI environments, specifically Oracle
- EPM super user preferred; able to understand business logic/rules
- Proficient use of the most common Microsoft applications including intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel to download and analyze data (pivot tables etc.)

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Required:
- Degree in Diploma in Accounting or 4-year Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business
Preferred:
- Professional Accounting designation
