Acentra Health is looking for a Director of Finance Transformation to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

Acentra Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to serve as the financial owner for strategic initiatives and transformation efforts. This role will be responsible for evaluating financial impacts, scrutinizing efficiency, and synergy claims, and ensuring that transformation initiatives align with the company's financial and strategic objectives.

Reporting directly to the SVP of Corporate Finance, the Finance Director will work closely with the Chief Transformation Officer and other senior executives to drive fact-based decision-making and ROI-driven execution. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, independent, and experienced in executive-level communications. This role requires the ability to periodically work onsite, candidates should reside within commutable distance of our office located in McLean, Virginia.

Responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Financial Leadership on Strategic Initiatives: Serve as the financial reporting and analysis owner for transformation and full potential analysis efforts, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals.
    • Efficiency & Synergy Validation: Scrutinize, validate, and challenge claimed efficiencies, synergies, and financial assumptions behind transformation initiatives.
    • ROI & Scenario Analysis: Develop and present ROI models, sensitivity analyses, and cost-benefit assessments for major business decisions.
    • Executive-Level Engagement: Partner with the Chief Transformations Officer CFO, and other senior executives to support financial planning and decision-making.
    • Independent Decision-Making: Operate with a high degree of autonomy, making informed financial recommendations that drive strategic execution.
    • Financial Review of Business Cases: Assess business cases for financial soundness, feasibility, and realism to ensure alignment with strategic and financial objectives.
    • Reporting & Insights: Deliver clear and concise financial reporting, including performance tracking, variance analysis, and risk assessments related to transformation initiatives.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, operations, technology, and business line leaders to drive accountability and transparency on financial outcomes.
    • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, or strategy consulting, preferably within healthcare, technology, or private equity-backed companies.
  • Strong background in ROI modeling, synergy validation, and efficiency tracking.
  • Exceptional ability to question, challenge, and validate financial assumptions and business cases.
  • Big 4 audit experience is a plus, particularly in financial due diligence and assurance.
  • Proven ability to work independently at a senior level, providing executive-ready insights
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial executives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with C-suite and senior leadership teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling), data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and ERP/financial systems (e.g., Costpoint, Oracle EPM).
  • Experience with Maestro highly desired.
  • MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred but not required.
