Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC seeks experienced Software Application Engineers to join the team. This role involves validating software compatibility, testing, designing, and supporting new software for the Edison Works environment.

You'll enhance your abilities, collaborate with a driven team, interact with various collaborators, and strengthen CGS' abilities for our customers. This opportunity is outstanding to develop top-notch software solutions and lead in implementing innovative technologies.

Job Responsibilities

As a Software Application Engineer, you will:



  • Understand client requirements and translate them into software application features
  • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals, customers, and security teams to set specifications for new software applications
  • Design and test creative prototypes according to specifications
  • Write high-quality procedures to ensure complete installation and verification of new application/software requests
  • Validate network and integration compliance, configuration, and installation approach before launch
  • Support Quality Assurance teams in conducting functional and non-functional testing
  • Troubleshoot and validate new software applications
  • Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update, and add new features
  • Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent software application design


Required Qualifications:



  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Eligible to acquire and maintain Government Security Clearance.
  • Associate degree or Equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to work multiple tasks in a team-based environment.
  • Proven experience as an application developer, architect, or engineer
  • Experience in crafting and building applications
  • In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
  • Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles
  • A great teammate with excellent communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Great attention to detail and time-management skills


Desired Qualifications:



  • Strong communication and team-building skills
  • Strong test writing skills
  • BSc/BA or equivalent experience in computer science or relevant field; MSc/MA will be appreciated
  • Certified application of any field is a plus

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $85k - $105k.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.

Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.
