Associate Vice President, Operations

Job Summary:

The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Operations is a crucial leader at ArchWell Health. You will lead and support the market management team, have large P&L responsibility, and oversight of the assigned region's growth, community relations and all operations.

As a AVP, Operations You Will:



  • Lead assigned region from a complete operational perspective
  • You will directly manage market-level leaders and oversee the management, and development of colleagues across all centers in the territory
  • Manage the P&L over the division; responsible for all operations across the region and achieve financial, growth, and operational KPIs; there is a significant focus on growth and member satisfaction
  • Work side by side with your teams to ensure operational excellence and deliver outstanding patient experience
  • Work in a collaborative relationship with the Regional Growth Director
  • Partner with market medical director(s) to build a collaborative and effective provider culture, focused on delivering outstanding patient care
  • Foster relationships with local health care providers, health plans, insurance agencies, and community leaders.



Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Solid knowledge of the national payer and risk-bearing provider landscape
  • Strong business acumen; demonstrated experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership technique, and operations
  • Track record of developing and implementing processes for providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to effectively leverage business and organizational knowledge within and across functional areas
  • Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, driven and focused work ethic
  • Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally. Region and nationwide travel up to 15% of the time



Education and Experience:



  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Healthcare or Public Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field; Master's or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years in a supervisory role in a medical setting, with at least 5 years of multi-site experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of multi-million-dollar P&L management accountability; prior Medicare Advantage risk pool P&L responsibility preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct operational experience in Medicare Advantage, value-based models, managed care, or ACOs
  • Minimum of 7 years of multisite operations leadership
  • Minimum of 5 years of medical group operations preferred
  • A passion for mentorship and team-development
  • Demonstrated strategic and tactical problem solving and execution skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across various stakeholders and departments
