Estimator Security Systems Gaithersburg, MD Pay From: $38.00 per hour MUST: Must be able to obtain a US Government Security clearance Experienced Security System Estimator 3+ years of experience in estimating for security systems, including video surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control Strong familiarity with blueprints and security system designs; ability to interpret complex plans Proficiency in estimation software and tools Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for our solutions during the bidding process Detail-oriented, with a track record of delivering precise and reliable cost estimates under tight deadlines Bachelors degree preferred but not required DUTIES: Collaborate with customers to develop solutions to meet their electronic security needs Evaluate and analyze project costs, ensuring all estimates are detailed and accurate Leverage knowledge of security systems (e.g., surveillance, access control) to optimize cost estimates and strategies Understand market trends and industry pricing to highlight competitive advantages in bidding Collect and analyze quotes for materials, equipment, and labor; resolve discrepancies in costs Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure the project scope aligns with estimates Regularly update and refine estimating procedures to maintain efficiency and accuracy Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
