Medical Biller - Collections Owings Mills, MD Pay From: $23 per hour MUST: Experienced Medical Biller 2+ years of experience in Medical Billing experience Must have collections and A/R experience Must have strong appeals and denials experience Must have CMS 1500 experience Must have a strong understanding of EOBs Knowledge of HCPC's, ICD, and insurance reimbursement DUTIES: Medical Biller - Collections will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Serves as lead worker and trainer for junior level staff. Enters charges accurately and timely, ensures charges are balanced and reconciled within department guidelines. Reconciles posted and edited payments against the ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice). Manually posts payments, contractual adjustments, and rejections from EOBs. Reconciles deposits against bank statements and major vendors, Balance Client/IDX daily. Breakdown of deposits by payer or FSC. Reviews and resolves credit balance if refunds or contractual adjustments are needed, or charge correction performed. Performs AR follow up on rejected claims.
