Fincantieri Marine Group is seeking an Assistant Counsel at its location in Washington DC.

Duties: Provide legal guidance on general legal projects, including evaluating and analyzing business requirements relative to the Company's risk tolerance; draft, review, and interpret rights and obligations under a myriad of agreements from every day transactions to complex matters, including general commercial, technology, employment, labor relations, real estate, professional services, and confidentiality/non-disclosure; participate in meetings with FMG's Italian parent company and Italian regulators; assist and advise the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer with management of Italian audit questions and compliance requirements specific to European Union and Italian regulations governing U.S. subsidiaries of publicly traded companies; assist with projects involving drafting and interpretation of agreements the Company enters into governed by EU-country laws as well as U.S. law, including large multi-year government contracts including current contracts with the U.S. Navy; serve as a point of contact within the U.S. organization on joint projects with the Company's Italian colleagues, including significant capital project financing relative to FMG's Wisconsin shipyard expansion efforts.

REQUIREMENTS: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a U.S. law school, or foreign equivalent. License to practice law in a state in the United States or in the District of Columbia.
