Provides technical and sustaining engineering support of functional electrical test systems and environmental stress screening equipment in manufacturing. Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production test yield for existing products. Develops and maintains test equipment specifications. Coordinates with Equipment Operations to develop, plan and execute test equipment maintenance and calibration intervals.

General Responsibilities:

  • Disposition and investigate test system daily defects in accordance with quality system procedures

  • Disposition and investigate test system equipment malfunctions in accordance with quality system procedures to minimize line stoppages in production

  • Plan and coordinate test system calibration and maintenance with Equipment Operations

  • Support evaluation of scrap pareto to develop continuous improvement opportunities

  • Implement continuous improvement plans to improve first pass yield, reduce scrap, and increase efficiencies

  • Partner with R&D to transfer new products and supporting test systems to production

  • Work daily with a high level of integrity and promote a diverse and inclusive workplace culture in both people and thought leadership that is consistent with LivaNova values.

Skills and Experience:

  • 0-3 years professional experience; internship experience will be considered

  • Experience with electrical equipment - oscilloscope, DMM, function generator

  • Basic working knowledge of programing languages including but not limited to: C++, C#, Python

  • Log and track identified defects in a defect management system

  • Performing preventive maintenance on electrical test systems

  • Reading and interpreting basic electrical diagrams and engineering drawings

  • Basic troubleshooting of electrical test system malfunctions and identifying root causes

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

EDUCATION:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, or related field like Computer Engineering or Biomedical Engineering

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be required

Pay Transparency:

  • The expected salary range for this position ranges from $70,000 - $85,000 annual salary, plus discretionary bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location and are awarded based on experience.
