SRE Cloud Operations Intern - Summer 2025

We at Juniper Networks are seeking continuing students who are interested in Software Engineering Summer 2025 Internships. Candidates must be enrolled in a master's program, preferably in EE, CS, or CE, graduating December 2025 or later.

We're looking for people who are excited about building cloud infrastructure that global businesses rely on -- robust, high-performance services. Our environment is highly collaborative, fostering learning and teamwork, and encouraging all Junivators to take ownership of our collective success.

Our SRE cloud software engineers work up and down the cloud services, CICD pipelines, development of automation and monitoring, AIOps; responsibilities and project areas vary by group. We recognize that you will bring your own unique skills and interests,and you will be matched to teams and projects accordingly. For our SRE Cloud Operations software roles, we generally look for at least one of the following:

• Strong programming fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Groovy, Golang, or Rust.

• Understanding of operating systems, containerization, and cloud computation concepts.

• Artificial intelligence and machine learning.

For some of our projects, interest in or exposure to one or more of the following may be relevant:

• Linux, Terraform

• Relational and/or NoSQL databases

• Docker, Kubernetes

• AI/ML

• AWS/GCP Cloud concepts

• Software development tools

Additional qualities of a successful candidate include:

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated track record of taking initiative and being resourceful

• Ability to work collaboratively and solve problems

• Strong communication skills, especially written

• Leadership experience, whether formal or informal

• Enthusiasm!
