Job Title: PSBB Senior Analyst Operational Risk & Reporting
Location: AZ - Chandler 3075
What you'll do: The Sr. Analyst - Analytics & Reporting will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making across the Preferred & Small Business Banking organization. This position will be responsible for designing, building, and managing reporting and dashboards utilized for reporting and analytics solutions, by creating dashboards and visuals that retrieve, manipulate, build and/or modify database tables. Additionally, this position will be responsible for optimizing database performance, testing/troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other team members to create and execute new features and visuals.
Development:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining reporting dashboards
- Writing query procedures and functions for data retrieval and manipulation
- Optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity
- Troubleshooting and resolving database / dashboard-related issues
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions
- Creating and maintaining dashboard documentation
- Implementing and maintaining dashboard security measures
- Develop high-quality dashboard solutions
- Analyze existing data tables for performance improvements
- Develop procedures for maintaining a constant refresh of tables and data migration
Reporting and Dashboard Development:
- Collaborate on the design, build, and maintenance of advanced dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key business performance metrics
- Develop automation techniques from available technology to produce efficient and effective processes
- Identify opportunities for automating manual reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with business units to understand reporting and analytical needs
- Translate business questions into analytical tasks and provide solutions that drive strategic decisions
- Constantly capture business needs and define how to tell the story to help drive the business
Data Integrity and Governance:
- Design and implement validity checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability by performing thorough validation and quality checks
- Maintain and uphold data and reporting standards, ensuring consistency and compliance across all projects worked on
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance data infrastructure and improve data accessibility
- May help train other junior members of the team.
What you'll need:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field
- 3+ years' experience in an analytics or reporting position or similar role preferably a banking or financial services
- Excellent understanding of Power BI and SharePoint and SQL is a plus
- High Proficiency in writing reporting structure and dashboards and experience with data modeling
- Strong knowledge of data analysis tools and data visualization platforms such as Power BI
