Minimum Qualifications

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma required with some college education preferred. Experience in laboratory, greenhouse, and aseptic technique is preferred.
Position Summary
A Research Technician will assist with projects and tasks in the laboratory, greenhouse, and office to support a plant genomics research laboratory. This new position will be responsible for laboratory and greenhouse work with a diverse set of plant species. The employee will be responsible for preparing culture media, reagents, buffers and other solutions. Employee will be responsible for performing tissue culture and maintaining collections of clonally propagated plants.

  • Meticulous, punctual, and reliable
