Medical Laboratory Technician
San Antonio, TX Pay From: $29 Per Hour MUST: The Medical Laboratory Technician should have the following: 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician Performing specimen analysis Handling Manual differential tests Preparing peripheral blood smears and WBC differentials Chemistry, hematology, coagulation and urinalysis experience Performing various laboratory tests and comfortable with Clinical Lab Testing and chemistry techniques Venipuncture Handling equipment maintenance Strong documentation skills ASCP certification or MLT Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biology DUTIES: The Duties of the Medical Laboratory Technician include but are not limited to the following: Perform specimen analysis and routine Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis testing Prepare peripheral blood smear and complete WBC differential on normal and abnormal smears Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory tests Processes samples for send out and reflex laboratory testing Perform sample analysis and reporting results at least once a year Assists with special procedures as needed Calibrate equipment and complete preventive maintenance Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies Summarize findings and prepare reports Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
