We are seeking a motivated Traffic Engineer to support our traffic engineering projects. In this role, you will assist with all aspects of analysis, design, calculations, estimating, and preparing submissions for a variety of traffic-related projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct traffic impact studies, including trip generation, capacity analysis, and crash/safety analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of Office of State Traffic Administration (OSTA) Major Traffic Generator certificates
  • Support traffic signal design and safety improvement projects
  • Perform AutoCAD and Microstation drafting for engineering plans
  • Utilize GIS and Synchro for data analysis and traffic modeling
  • Prepare reports, cost estimates, and project documentation
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure project success


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • At least 1+ years of relevant experience (internship experience considered)
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microstation, GIS, and Synchro
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel to field sites in Connecticut and neighboring states
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
