Summary/Objective:

The production scheduler is responsible for maintaining a structured flow of production by issuing and tracking work orders, ensuring that required materials is supplied to the production floor as according to the production schedule. This includes but may not be limited to run daily reports, create/post/clear RPO (release production order), keep track of hot orders/drop ins, create schedules that flow with production, and communicate shortage of materials/product to the appropriate teams. This candidate needs to have strong communication skills to relay pertinent information to the sales team, customer service, OE team and other leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Create, maintain, and update daily production schedules
  2. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time
  3. Working with Quality to ensure all inbound products meet quality expectation
  4. Develop a detailed beta run plan to track progress
  5. Work with Production to Schedule Beta run to ensure product is tracked accurately through the beta run
  6. Report and escalate to management as needed
  7. Create and maintain comprehensive beta run documentation
  8. Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements

  9. Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule

  10. Support purchasing to Expedite suppliers purchase orders if required

  11. Utilize ERP system to auto-generate manufacturing work orders

  12. Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages

  13. Notify Sales of any schedule impacts to customers

  14. Coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved

  15. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Working Conditions:

  1. This is a non-production plant position
  2. May sit for several hours at a time.
  3. Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  4. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications:

  1. High school degree or GED
  2. D365 knowledge preferred but not required

Essential Functions:

  4. Communicate with OE, sales, customer service and leaders the production schedule
