Job Description

NetImpact Strategies, Inc. is seeking to hire an IT Service Desk Specialist to support a Federal Agency.

This role is located 100% onsite at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas.

Candidates must be eligible to pass a background investigation and hold an IAT I certification in compliance with DoD 8570.01-M requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

    Provide basic technical support by resolving software and hardware issues, assisting users with operating systems, and offering guidance through phone, email, or chat.
  • Act as the primary frontline technician, triaging tickets, assigning issues to appropriate support tiers, and addressing low to moderate technical problems with some supervision.
  • Assist in managing and resolving assigned tickets, provide technical assistance, and support local site knowledge processes within the Agency's ticketing system.
  • Assist and provide desk-side and remote troubleshooting for Agency-approved software, operating systems, networks, and hardware, including integration, configuration, and installation of authorized equipment.
  • Assist with equipment staging, installation, testing, repairs, and upgrades while supporting end-user service requests for software installation and configuration.
  • Assist in providing Mobile Device support for local wireless handheld devices (cell phones, smart phones, tablets, pagers, and mobile hotspots).
  • Assist with managing call queues, support Call Center telephony, perform system installs and upgrades, and create scripts while ensuring IT security compliance.
  • Assist in preparing reports on SITREPs, budgets, performance requirements summary (PRS) metrics, risks, and performance, providing weekly briefings on personnel status and corrective actions.
  • Assist in tracking asset inventory, equipment transfers, and IT service metrics, ensuring efficient operations and timely issue resolution.
  • Assist in maintaining risk management framework (RMF) packages, ensuring security compliance, system assessments, and continuous monitoring before deployment.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Experience: Two (2) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • IAT I certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M requirements.
  • CE: Associate-level certification for supported technology.
  • Ability to work onsite at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Previous Federal Consulting Experience.
  • Experience supporting DoD environments.
  • Additional IT certifications related to service desk or enterprise IT support.
