Senior Director Loan Operations and Fulfillment

What is the Opportunity?

RBC Bank Loan Operations and Fulfillment supports and services RBC Bank cross border personal and business clients as well as U.S. Wealth Management Securities Based Lending clients.

To achieve business results and create shareholder value through the leadership of loan operations and fulfillment for RBC Bank. Provide strategic leadership, visioning and oversight Mortgage Servicing, Collections, Mortgage Processing and Closing, Securities Based Lending Operation and Account Fulfillment that will serve to improve the client experience, reduce the costs, maximize productivity and provide best in class efficiency through simplification, streamlining and optimization. Ensures accurate and actionable risk identification, evaluation, continuous monitoring and escalation disciplines are in place. Also assesses and reports on operational risk, controls and regulatory compliance to governance committees including the audit committee of the board of directors. Act as executive sponsor to suppliers and intergroup arrangements to ensure fair exchange of services and accountability are effectively managed internally and with third parties.

What will you do?

Operational Risk:

• Oversight for team responsible for mortgage processing, closing and servicing ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment to business strategies and the desired client experience.

• Ensures cost effective analysis and approval process with emphasis on reducing non-value added or duplicative processes.

• Partners to agree and operate within the risk appetite for RBC Bank

• Ensures the execution of delinquency and collection strategy to maximize cures, recoveries, and operating efficiency across assigned lending products.

Banking Operations & Support Services:

• Oversight for teams responsible for fulfillment and servicing of securities backed loans, deposits, personal loans, debit card, credit card operations and their compliance to regulations regulation CC, regulation E, regulation B, and regulation Z.

• Ensures the alignment of process strategy & integration to key support units to facilitate a strong focus on E2E process to drive efficiency and the client experience. Leverages value across groups and the enterprise to develop better solutions in support of business strategies.

• Ensures the execution of fulfillment, servicing and vendor management strategies to create a sustainable competitive advantage with the intent to improve the client experience and reduce costs.

Business Risk Monitoring & Solutions:

• Collaborates with compliance and group risk management to ensure policy and regulatory requirements and the client experience are harmonious.

• Responsible for understanding and managing all risks to the RBC Bank Loan Operations and account fulfillment, including strategic, reputational, operational, and regulatory compliance.

• Responsible for managing conduct risk, by setting the tone, monitoring risk culture, holding employees accountable and promoting effective challenge.

• Maintain effective relationships and routines with first, second and third line of defense risk, governance and control teams, and review, understand and action in a timely manner issues and trends highlighted in risk, governance and control reporting.

What do you need to succeed?

• 15+ years banking experience

• Leaders' mindset for vision and strategy development

• Experienced people manager

• MBA College Bachelor's Degree or Higher

• Expertise in regulatory matters, standards, and governance

• Good presentation and interpersonal skills

• Strategic thinking and creative passion, relationship/influence with senior leaders, excellent communication and presentation skills to large audiences, performance analytics, people management, ability to achieve results through business partners, execution excellence.
