Responsibilities:
- Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule to clean and sanitize all areas of the plant, ensuring food safety and quality in every step of production.
- Operate powered cleaning equipment, including power washers, steamers, foam applicators, and more, to maintain a spotless facility and equipment.
- Safely disassemble and reassemble equipment for sanitation, preventing contamination and ensuring thorough cleaning.
- Operate equipment such as floor jacks, trash compactors, and vacuum cleaners safely and efficiently.
- Respond quickly and effectively to any spills or contamination risks, keeping the facility in top condition.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), follow proper lifting techniques, and adhere to all safety standards to ensure personal and team safety.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), ensuring the highest level of operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest food safety and sanitation standards.
- Reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift and lift up to 50lbs regularly.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and reach to clean areas on production machines.
- Capability to safely operate cleaning equipment and follow all safety procedures.
- Dedication to maintaining Utz's commitment to quality and safety.
- Experience working in a USDA-regulated facility is a plus but not required.
- Ability to comfortably wear and work with various forms of PPE.
- A strong team player who can also work independently to meet production goals.

- High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required.
