JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Department of Finance of the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University (University Park) seeks tenure-track faculty candidate applications for the William A. Schreyer Professor of Global Management, Policies and Planning.

The ideal candidate is an internationally recognized scholar with an established record of excellence in policy-relevant research related to macroeconomics and international finance. International recognition should be evidenced by affiliation with high profile economic and policy organizations, regular participation in premier academic conferences globally, keynotes and invited talks at elite universities around the world, as well as a record of publications in top-tier academic journals in finance (top 3) and economics (top 5) and other evidence of impact on the profession.

Candidates should be eligible for academic appointment as Professor with tenure at the College, able to conduct research, teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, mentor PhD students, and provide service to the College and University. Onsite teaching is an essential function of this position. Onsite teaching is an essential function of the job.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field. Also required is an established record of scholarly research published in the top journals in Finance and evidence of a broad impact on the profession.
