PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:



  • As part of its awarded contract for the Automated People Mover System for the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Alstom has in its scope the design, supply, commissioning, and training of the automated vehicles, CBTC signaling and communication systems.
  • TheJunior Training Engineeris responsible for the preparation and coordination of the Alstom training activities required for passenger service.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • To co-ordinate the training activities of the Alstom Trainers, thereby ensuring that training documentation, assessment and execution is carried out to time and quality,
  • Act as the interface between the various stakeholders of the project.
  • Coordinate the training requests and schedule as per the agreed project training management plan,
  • Organize and ensure the delivery of the training sessions by:

    • Updating the training schedule,
    • Organizing the venues, logistics and infrastructure (materials, tools, room, video projector...)
    • Providing support to participants and trainers when required.


  • To provide regular and timely updates/feedback and KPI's to direct reporting line.
  • Maintain and control the training database/records to substantiate the final handover to the Customer,
  • Ensure that all Training and assessment documentation is placed and kept up to date on project documentation system.



She/He reports to the LAX Project Director or one of its delegates and maintains a close relationship with the other members of the project community, services, testing and commissioning, design, installation teams, customer and O&M.

Qualifications & Skills:

EDUCATION



  • University graduate (or equivalent) in Science related domain.



TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE



  • At ease with IT tools: excel, word, power point,
  • Ability to read and understand basic mechanical and electrical concepts,
  • Railway experience or understanding is definitely a plus.
  • Experience or open mindset to work in an international environment.

  • Leadership, initiative and decision minded,
  • Team spirit approach, good communication, Resilience,
  • Good organization,
  • Open mindset, able to work in a highly diverse and fast paced environment,
  • Interest for the rail industry.
