Summary:

As a Senior Manager, Compensation & HRIS, you will play a pivotal role in managing our compensation programs while ensuring data accuracy within our HR systems. Reporting to the Executive Director, Total Rewards, you will collaborate with key stakeholders and leverage your analytical skills to deliver insights that support strategic decision-making. Your work will be key in aligning compensation plans with Pacira's culture, business objectives, and talent strategy. The ideal candidate will balance strategic program management, clear communication with leaders and employees about compensation, hands-on operational tasks, and partnership with vendors to optimize systems and processes.

In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain market-competitive programs, working with leadership and consultants. You will oversee the company's annual compensation review process, including salary adjustments, promotions, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives, collaborating with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and Senior Business Leaders. Additionally, you will ensure alignment with compensation budgets, support compliance reporting, and manage the evolving pay equity landscape. As an HRIS administrator, you will also work closely with HR functional leaders to integrate best-in-class tools of connected systems (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Metrics, Recognition, Org Charts, etc.) and hold our vendors accountable to high service levels.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

* Support the design and implementation of compensation plans that align with market trends, best practices, and the company's business objectives and talent strategy.
* Partner with leadership and compensation consultants to benchmark compensation programs, analyze market data to develop pay recommendations, and gain alignment with management.
* Prepare compensation reports and summaries to provide valuable insights for senior management and the Board of Directors to illustrate results from merit, promotions, bonus, and equity planning.
* Lead the design and execution of the company's annual compensation review process, including salary adjustments, promotions, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives.
* Oversee the administration of the company's compensation tool (currently Compose) configuring business rules and managing the annual planning cycle with Leaders. Includes employee statements.
* Manage equity grant administration with Finance and Fidelity, including monthly new hire process, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and annual grant guidelines and plan documents.
* Collaborate with HRBPs, Senior Business Leaders, and Finance to ensure alignment, track spend, and effectively manage compensation budgets (bonus accruals, salary increases, exceptions, etc.).
* Evaluate complex situations and recommend solutions balancing internal/external competitiveness with financial considerations.
* Drive the compensation communications strategy, assisting with the creation and delivery of training for HR, Leaders, Managers, employees to promote understanding of the company's philosophy and programs.
* Manage a total rewards statement, overseeing periodic updates with vendor, and marketing to employees.
* Lead the rollout of new compensation initiatives, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.
* Partner with vendors, HR, Legal on compensation-related compliance reporting, including AAP, EEO-1, market surveys, audits, pay equity reviews, etc. Submit data, interpret results, and address potential issues.
* Support administration of our relocation policy, partnering with HRBPs and the vendor (Weichert).
* Oversee the administration of the company's HRIS and related systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Compose, iCIMS, etc.), managing employee data and policies (e.g., time off.), mergers and acquisitions, etc. Functional leads own content and relationships with best-in-class systems.
* Serve as the primary internal escalation for HRIS technical issues, data feed requirements/APIs with the core HRIS, upgrades, holding vendors accountable in providing timely solutions for end users.
* Periodically analyze HRIS data for discrepancies, recommend and drive resolutions for data accuracy and alignment with compensation processes, mergers and acquisitions, and other initiatives with employee data.
* Partner with Payroll to ensure accuracy of compensation data within the HRIS system, proactively auditing changes and key activity that flows to payroll (e.g., salary change, bonus payment, ESPP deductions, etc.).
* Collaborate with HR leadership to recommend process improvements and drive automation and efficiency across compensation and HRIS operations.
* Manage relationships with compensation and HRIS vendors, overseeing contracts, invoices, and vendor performance to ensure the timely delivery of services.
* Partner on various HR projects / deliverables (e.g., engagement surveys, metrics, team building events, etc.)

Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibility.

Interaction:
The incumbent works with employees at all levels, regularly interacting with the HR Leadership Team, Senior Business Leaders and employees.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in HR/Finance or related field.
* 4 - 6 years minimum relevant HR experience in compensation and HRIS. The following areas preferred:
* Broad Based and Executive Compensation - designing, implementing, and managing programs
* Long-term incentives and equity vehicles, managing equity programs and grant guidelines.
* HRIS - Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the company's HRIS and comfort in navigating and administering HR data.
* Strong analytical skills and using data to inform HR decisions.
* Vendor management.
* Relocation program management experience is a plus.
