Description
Systems Design Engineer II (Multiple Positions) - Starkey Laboratories, Inc. (Eden Prairie, MN). Responsible for system level design of new products and ensuring they meet associated requirements for hearing aids, accessories, manufacturing software, fitting software, mobile apps, programmers, their components and sub-systems. Duties include: define and document system level requirements for hardware, software, features, accessories, and mobile apps and flow down requirements to relevant subsystems; collaborate with Systems Verification Engineers to ensure all system requirements are met; and, identify and analyze system-level technical issues. Reqs. Ph.D. in Systems Engineering or closely related field plus education, training, or experience in a product or technology development environment, or, MS in Systems Engineering or closely related field plus 5 years' professional experience in a product or technology development environment. Must have demonstrated proficiency in: requirement generation, system architecture, system design, risk management, verification, use cases, configuration management, issue tracking; hearing aid architecture and design, hearing aid audiological features, programming software, manufacturing software, and hearing aid mobile applications; analog, digital, mixed signal circuits; multi-component electrical devices, PC interfaces, communication protocols, digital design, DSP, wired and wireless communication; signal processing concepts, including block diagrams, filters, Fourier analysis, audio, acoustics; software development process, source code control, version control, high and low level programming languages; acoustic recording manikins and Matlab; and, Systems Engineering tools. $101,332/year. 5 days/week in-office.
