Summary of Role

Corporate Development at Lantheus is a strategic function that encompasses strategy, portfolio management, alliance management, business development and licensing. In this role, the Senior Analyst will play a pivotal part in supporting the advancement and enhancement our portfolio and strategy capabilities. By analyzing our pipeline of potential assets and supporting Business Development, Strategy, and Asset Team analyses, the Senior Analyst will integrate scientific research, development, commercial, and financial forecasts with competitive landscape analyses. This will generate actionable insights and inform strategic decisions at corporate, disease area, and asset levels, impacting the company's strategic direction.

The Senior Analyst will also assist in the optimization of portfolio management processes, templates, and tools, aiding asset teams by providing industry benchmarks and comparative internal data for critical analysis. This role will be crucial in evaluating product opportunities by analyzing investment needs, clinical development paths, resource requirements, and long-term potential in terms of revenue and strategic alignment. Maintaining comprehensive landscape insights for Business Development and Strategic Planning, including compiling company profiles, conducting competitor analyses, mapping targeted disease landscapes, and tracking the radiopharmaceutical pipeline, will be key responsibilities.

Additionally, the Senior Analyst will assist in evaluating business development opportunities and support due diligence processes. Collaboration across functions to improve data quality for portfolio analysis and strategy development will be essential. The role will also involve supporting strategic projects by conducting landscape analyses, aiding in strategy development, creating tools for insights from future scenarios, and drafting effective presentations.

Given the rapid growth of our portfolio, the ideal candidate must demonstrate strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously, and perform ad-hoc analyses and projects as required. The ability to work productively within an uncertain and context-shifting environment, in a matrix organization with multiple cross-functional teams, and pivot quickly in response to rapidly changing business conditions will be crucial.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions



  • Assist in the advancement of our portfolio capabilities by integrating scientific research, development, commercial, and financial forecasts, along with competitive landscape analyses, to generate actionable insights and inform strategic decisions at corporate, disease area, and asset levels
  • Support the optimization of our portfolio management processes, templates, and tools
  • Aid asset teams by providing industry benchmarks and comparative internal data for critical analysis inputs and develop analytics and tools to evaluate alternative development paths and strategies
  • Evaluate product opportunities by analyzing investment needs, including clinical development paths and resource requirements, as well as long-term potential in terms of revenue and strategic alignment
  • Maintain comprehensive landscape insights for Business Development and Strategic Planning. This includes compiling company profiles, conducting competitor analyses, mapping targeted disease landscapes, and tracking the radiopharmaceutical pipeline
  • Assist in evaluating BD opportunities and support due diligence processes. Contribute to the development and refinement of the due diligence playbook
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve the quality of data inputs that underpin portfolio analysis and strategy development efforts
  • Support strategic projects by conducting landscape analyses, aiding in strategy development, creating tools for insights from future scenarios, and drafting effective presentations
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as required
  • Challenge existing processes and the status quo to drive improvements


Skills, Experience, and Education



  • Scientific and/or Business Discipline Required:


    • Bachelor's Degree: 3-5 years of relevant experience
    • Master's Degree: 2-3 years of relevant experience. PhD desirable but not required.




    • Experience:


      • Required: Experience in consulting, investment banking, biopharma, and/or PhD research


    • Skills:


      • Proficiency in creating and interpreting complex models
      • Strong understanding of business principles with comfort in scientific concepts
      • Ability to think systematically and solve complex problems

    Other Requirements



    • This position is intended to be hybrid, with an expectation of working out of the Company's Bedford, Massachusetts executive offices at least three days per week and as otherwise necessary.
    • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
