About the Internship
This dynamic, 4-month paid internship is designed for students who are passionate about corporate strategy, data-driven decision-making, and healthcare innovation. As a Corporate Strategy Intern, you will work on high-impact projects across various departments, gaining exposure to Analytics, Corporate Strategy, Clinical Strategy, and the Office of the CEO. Through hands-on assignments, mentorship, and executive-level interactions, you will develop critical problem-solving and strategic thinking skills that prepare you for a career in healthcare, consulting, or business strategy.
What You'll Do
As a Corporate Strategy Intern, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to projects that drive organizational growth and operational excellence. Your responsibilities may include:
Corporate Strategy & Analytics
* Conducting research on healthcare industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market opportunities to inform strategic initiatives.
* Assisting in the collection, analysis, and visualization of key data sets to support data-driven decision-making.
* Supporting the development of business cases, financial models, and strategic reports for senior leadership.
* Participating in and supporting strategic planning sessions. Special Projects for the Office of the CEO.
* Assisting in the execution of high-priority initiatives led by the CEO's office, including corporate transformation efforts and executive communications.
* Preparing presentations, briefing documents, and reports for senior executives.
* Engaging with executive leadership to gain insights into enterprise-level decision-making and governance.
* Professional Development & Networking
* Attending mentorship sessions with senior SCAN Health Plan leaders to gain career insights and professional development guidance.
* Engaging in intern-specific learning workshops focused on healthcare strategy, analytics, and leadership development.
* Collaborating with peers, mentors, and subject matter experts to broaden your understanding of the healthcare ecosystem.
We're looking for highly motivated candidates with:
* A strong interest in corporate strategy, healthcare, and data-driven problem-solving.
* Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI preferred).
* Strong research capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights.
* Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interact with senior leaders.
* A results-driven mindset, curiosity for learning new concepts, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business, Analytics, Public Health, Health Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
