Summary

The Project Manager, Business Solutions & Implementation ensures that warehouse projects and initiatives meet objectives on time and within budget (where applicable). This role is responsible for identifying solutions within our portfolio of systems and the implementation of solutions across the logistics team. You will be responsible for understanding the capabilities of our current warehouse applications (either C2C or CW) and work with the various warehouse teams on application of these tools. This position requires some travel for project requests and direct engagement with the business and other end customers.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Develop existing applications including C2C and CW to identify capabilities to better service our business (internal and external)
  • Work with the business (internal and external) to identify operational scope and development needed for new and existing business
  • Identify where a new application may need to be considered based on business needs and / or requests
  • Indirectly manage the super user teams
  • Coordinate and lead project initiatives to support the strategy of the warehouse application across the warehouse team
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to the warehouse applications.
  • Facilitate small group sessions and lead large-scale warehouse trainings.
  • Support client facing training as needed on tools and applications related to the warehousing product
  • Work with application owners (HAL or Solutions BCM) on scheduled trainings as needed
  • Assist with new business implementations while working with local site management and subject matter experts
  • Create and / or approve any Business Requirement Specification (BRS) related to any new business implementation
  • Work with IT and BCM on general SCM IT initiatives (general tracker of warehouse & logistics related project requests)
  • Liaison between technical experts & business users on project scopes
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of the WMS application.
  • Use data and analytics to measure activity and help refine future strategies.



Educational background / Work experience



  • Minimum of 5 years in operational management and development
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence others toward a common vision.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational challenges.



Skills & Competencies



  • Strong proficiency in basic MS Office applications is required
  • General understanding of warehouse cross-dock and contract logistics operations
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that require sound decision making
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate technical or financial information to a non-technical audience; as well as the ability to facilitate both small and large groups in a variety for forums
  • Ability to forge strong working relations with every level in the organization, including all internal and external customers
  • Strong collaboration and knowledge sharing as appropriate among colleagues
  • Affinity with Warehouse Logistics
  • Self-starter, able to meet deadlines and ability to work and follow department processes.
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally
  • Assertive and result-focused
  • Structured and able to meet deadlines
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a focus on planning and strategy.
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause identification skills.
  • Proficiency in analytics, statistics, and spreadsheet tools like Excel.



Language skills



  • Fluency in English is required
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active listening skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.



Computer Literacy



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and lifecycle phases.
  • In-depth knowledge of specific systems applications.



Physical and/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions

Physical Demands

Work is generally sedentary, with no specific need for physical coordination or effort. May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities. Hours can be extensive as well as occasionally staggered for multi-shift access. While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Minimal travel maybe required for this role domestically and internationally.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The physical demands and work environment characteristics described above are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. For this position, the expected base pay is:$71,00 - $106,500/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
